Who was Jesus praying to in the Garden of Gethsemane?

The trick that people usually use to denounce the Trinity is the fact that Jesus prayed. If He were God, who’d He pray to?

The Persons of the Trinity are one in Will and Love but they are Persons nonetheless. Son is not the Father nor Holy Spirit.

What is prayer? Prayer is conversation with God. It’s only natural that Jesus, the Son was often in conversation with the Father. Jesus was fully human, prone to human weaknesses as fatigue, hunger and even in a way, fear. He overcame all that with prayer, asking His Father for help. Like we all should do, like Jesus advised us to do.

So in Gethsemane, He had a moment of sorrow and darkness because of what was to come. He talked to Father, He asked for guidance and Father sent an angel to comfort Him.

EDIT: Right, this comment section is getting out of hand. We have blasphemies, heresies and downright insults that I deleted since I don’t tolerate that anymore in my comments. Most of the comments come from Muslims though. There are some who claim Jesus to be the Antichrist which is preposterous for someone who actually was killed for preaching. Anyways, it’s really simple. Muslims expect me and other Christians to believe their prophet who turned up about 600 years after birth of Christ to deliver us the truth about Jesus, mostly based on gnostic beliefs of apocryphal and heretical Gospel of Phillip. That is nonsense that would have us disregard the whole New Testament and merely rely on that single Gospel, believing every other Apostle to have made everything up. And died for it btw. So please, just stop. I doubt you’ll get any converts here. As for non trinitiarian people, mostly Jehova’s witnesses who are not Christians in my book but rather a cult, I would recommend to quit bugging me. You know Scripture by heart and yet do not understand it. What kind of God do you want, guys? Solely being a Creator doesn’t earn anybody love. Love is earned through sacrifice and deeds of compassion, as Jesus did. I would never love God who demanded merely on the grounds He created me. Sure, and then what? Your job is done and that’s it? No, I believe in God who took active interest in humanity, who became human, lived as a human, died as a human. And ultimately rose, showing us that love is even stronger than death. I don’t care about what some philosophers said. Jesus’s ressurection and His cross have remained a stumbling block and foolishness to many as the Apostles predicted. So exactly because it’s absurd, I believe it. Exactly because Christianity demands of me to give up my human urges, rage, lust, vanity, that is why it’s divine. Anybody can just follow rules. Not everybody can repent. That is the grace of God, The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit. Btw, if I get more disrespectful comments I am closing up the comment section. Dishonest and manipulative tactics that I have seen in attempts to justify your cause will not be tolerated.

Cheers.
