Why do atheists REFUSE to obey God when he has proven Himself through numerous miracles?

 

Yeah, like when he made horses out of sea foam! That was awesome.

No evidence you say? Of course there is, haven’t you ever seen a horse?

But I expect you mean Yahweh not Poseidon. The God who turned Lot’s wife into a pillar of salt, or who murdered all the first born in Egypt, say, or who pledges to only come back after all the forests are burned and the seas made sterile. Why do you choose to worship that asshole instead of the Lord of the Sea?

And why would God care? What could my obedience possibly mean to an all-powerful deity?
