If Christians say that Jesus is the only way to God, then how did Enoch ascend without Jesus, how did Elijah ascend without Jesus, how did Noah, Abraham, Jacob, Moses, Job, and the rest make it to God without going thru Jesus?

Actually, the Bible says this:

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John‬ 14‬:6‬ NKJV‬‬)

Christians don’t say that “Jesus is the only way to God.” That’s exactly how Satan tweaks the Word slightly to deceive many.

The Bible says:

And Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him. (Genesis‬ 5‬:24‬ NKJV‬‬)

The “God” that took Enoch was none other than Jesus before His incarnation.

We read in Scripture:

Now Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men also, saying, “Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of His saints, to execute judgment on all, to convict all who are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have committed in an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.” (Jude‬ 14‬, 15‬ NKJV‬‬)

The Bible also says this:

For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the Son, that all should honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him. (John‬ 5‬:22‬-23‬ NKJV‬‬)

Enoch was prophesying about Jesus, the God and Savior of the world (Titus 2:13) which he learned by walking with Jesus before he was taken to Heaven.

Likewise, every character in the Old Testament who spoke with “God” was actually speaking with Jesus before His incarnation.

We read in Scripture:

And God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM.” And He said, “Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, I AM has sent me to you.’ ” (Exodus‬ 3‬:14‬ NKJV‬‬)

And we all know WHO the Great I AM really is:

Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.” (John‬ 8‬:58‬ NKJV‬‬)

Thus we realize a profound truth about the relationship between the Old Testament and the New Testament:

The Old Testament is Jesus concealed while the New Testament is Jesus revealed!

The Book of Luke gives us an insight on this. After Jesus resurrected from the dead, He walked with a few of His disciples on the way to Emmaus and opened the Scriptures to them.

This is what the Bible says:

And beginning at Moses and all the Prophets, He expounded to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself. (Luke‬ 24‬:27‬ NKJV‬‬)

In short, Jesus is found all over the Old Testament!

Conclusion:

Everyone in the Old Testament who interacted with “God” was actually interacting with Jesus. Every single one!
