Does the Bible say anything about God choosing who goes to heaven and hell?

Yes. The Bible is very clear.

In Matthew 25, we have a detailed description of what happens on the Day of Judgment -

“When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left” (vs31–33)

Scary stuff. Then we read this:

“Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels’” (v 41)

This confirms what we read elsewhere:

“Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell” (Matt 10:28)

The Book of Revelation fills in some of the detail of how this happens:

“Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. The earth and the heavens fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what they had done” (Rev 20:11–13)

It is God who sends people to hell. It is he who decides

What a lovely god you Christians worship….
