Was the flood that occurred in Noah's time universal, or did it happen only in one place?
According to the bible, the Great Flood that occurred at the time of Noah, was universal and covered the highest mountains everywhere on earth.
And yes, despite the claims of christian apologists that the earth was flatter before the flood, the bible specifically says that the high mountains were completely covered by water.
Of course the bible is full of fairytale nonsense and we know there wasn’t a global flood 4,500 years ago, give or take a century, according to the bible.
How do we know?
The proofs are many.
- There’s isn’t enough free water on earth to cover the highest mountains. That would require 5.5 miles of additional water.
- If there was that much water, the incredible pressure of 5.5 miles of water would destroy every mud brick building and piece of pottery on the planet.
- And yet we have the remains of mud brick buildings that are over 10,000 years old and pottery that is over 25,000 years old.
- Kangaroos can’t hop across vast oceans from Australia to the Middle East, then back again.
- A queen bee and a drone cannot feed themselves or baby bees. It takes an entire hive to support a queen, which is why bees swarm when a new queen is born.
- The hole-y bible’s Great Flood myth was clearly copycatted from the ancient Sumerian Epic of Gilgamesh.
