Why does the Gospel of John not include Jesus’ baptism when the other Gospels do?

Mark and Matthew both say Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist, but Luke and John do not! In Luke 3:20–21, John the Baptist is locked up in prison BEFORE it says “Jesus was baptized too,” without mentioning by whom. And John 1:32 quotes John the Baptist as saying he saw the holy spirit descend on Jesus like a dove, but it never says anyone ever baptized him.

Why not? One theory is that nobody was “qualified” to baptize the sinless Jesus, that even John the Baptist lacked the credentials to perform this salvific rite on the flawless son of God. This may have been why Luke locks up John the Baptist first and then uses the passive voice to say Jesus “was baptized” later, sidestepping the question. John goes even further by omitting a baptism of Jesus entirely, although he mentions details about the dove-like Holy Spirit from the other gospels.

It’s kind of like saying Albert Einstein had a tutor in college — who the heck would have been smart enough to tutor Albert Einstein? Mark 1:4 says baptism was for “the remission of sins,” but Jesus was supposedly a sinless being, so why would he need that, and who would be qualified to do the honors?
