How did Satan become a fallen angel according to the Bible? Was he originally an angel or a cherub?

Scripture in Ezekiel all but state outright that Satan was the Cherub in Eden that spoke for God and was there to assist Adam and Eve, instruct them and answer questions. At some point he desired to take over rulership of the earth and man from God. We know the rest of the story.

Ezekiel 28:13–15 Any Bible Version

13 You were in Eden, the garden of God; every precious stone adorned you: carnelian, chrysolite and emerald, topaz, onyx and jasper, lapis lazuli, turquoise and beryl.Your settings and mountings were made of gold; on the day you were created they were prepared. 14 You were anointed as a guardian cherub, for so I ordained you. You were on the holy mount of God; you walked among the fiery stones. 15 You were blameless in your ways from the day you were created till wickedness was found in you. 16 Through your widespread trade you were filled with violence, and you sinned*. So I drove you in disgrace from the mount of God, and I expelled you, guardian cherub, from among the fiery stones.

*Jesus called him a murderer and a liar (John 8:44).

This is an interesting and key scripture. It starts out addressing the King of Tyre but then shifts to someone who could NOT have been the King of Tyre in the 13th verse. The only being that fits this description would be Satan when he was the angel in Eden.

1. Was in Eden, the King of Tyre was not. The Garden had long vanished before he was born.

2. A Cherub, they are ranking angels that God assigns special tasks and resposibility to.

3. He was the “guardian” or assigned cherub

4. He was created, not born of man which the King of Tyre was.

5. He was sinless and perfect until HE turned against God. Men are all born with the inclination to sin we inherited from Adam.

Many will still insist these verses speak of an earthly king. I leave it to the reader to arrive at their own conclusion.
