What are some passages of questionable taste in the Bible?

 

I quote two about David, of whom Jesus was a descendant.

The first is truly gruesome:

Samuel 18:27

David arose, set out with his men, and slew among the Philistines two hundred men. David brought back their foreskins and counted them before the king to become the king's son-in-law. Saul gave him his daughter Mikal as wife.

But the latter is no joke either:

Samuel 4:12

David gave orders to his young men [servants in other translations]; they killed them, cut off their hands and feet, and hung them by the pool of Hebron.

It is funny to think that the Church once prohibited books like those of Marquis De Sade. Some scenes from the Bible seem to overshadow even his most sadistic writings in their intensity.
