Did Jesus eat pork? If he didn't, why do Christians eat it?

Jesus and His disciples ate what the Bible called food.

Pork didn’t make the list.

Leviticus 11 already labeled the pig unclean — and Jesus said:

“Think not that I am come to destroy the law.” — Matthew 5:17 (KJV)

So when did pork enter Christianity?

It started after the apostles died, when Christianity spread across the Roman world.

Gentile converts brought their old food habits with them — and pigs were definitely on the menu.

By the 2nd–4th centuries, many church leaders were trying hard not to look “Jewish” anymore, so the Bible’s food laws quietly got pushed off the table.

Little by little, culture replaced Scripture.

So Jesus followed Scripture.

Most Christians today still follow cultural food traditions — except Seventh-day Adventists, who follow God’s “menu”.
