What happened to Hitler’s biological family after the war?
It is honestly pretty wild how Hitler's family just tried to vanish after the war. His sister Paula was his closest relative and she spent the rest of her life using the fake name Paula Wolff so people wouldn't bother her. American soldiers actually arrested her to ask questions but they let her go as she wasn't involved in any crimes. She ended up moving back to Germany and lived a very quiet lonely life until she passed away in 1960.
Then you have his half sister Angela's kids. Her son Leo was a soldier who was captured by the Soviet Union. Even though they were family, Hitler actually refused to trade a prisoner to get his own nephew back home. Leo somehow survived those rough prison camps and eventually moved to Austria to work as a school teacher.
The craziest story has to be his nephew, Wiliam. He was born in the UK but moved to America and actually joined the U.S. Navy to fight against his own uncle! After the war, he changed his last name to Stuart Houston and moved to a quiet neighborhood in Long Island, New York. He began a small medical business and had four sons. Those sons lived very private lives and supposedly made a pact to never have children. They wanted the Hitler bloodline to just stop with them so the name would be forgotten for good.
