The movie; The Lady In The Water (2006)

Although I can't honestly say he saved it. As seemingly nothing could save it. This movie was ill-conceived on every level. And when the film is named you're gonna go, oh yeah…that.

The actor, two time Academy Award nominee, SAG, Golden Globe and Prime Time Emmy award winner and Yale school of drama graduate Paul Giamatti.

The movie; The Lady In The Water (2006)

Giamatti plays against the outlandish premise and the nonsensical story. And he manages to give a very believable, very human and even moving and memorable performance as a former medical doctor and a broken man in an otherwise horrendous movie, that isn't even interesting enough to be boring. And although he didn't save the movie per se. Without his involvement TLITW would have likely received a 6 to 8% on Rotten Tomatoes as opposed to its current 25% rating which seems too charitable.

“The healing” scene.
