What is the meaning of the parable in Luke 13:6-9?

Jesus said : “Do you think that because these Galileans suffered in this way they were greater sinners than all other Galileans? By no means! But I tell you, if you do not repent, you will all perish as they did! Or those eighteen people who were killed when the tower at Siloam fell on them—do you think they were more guilty than everyone else who lived in Jerusalem? By no means! But I tell you, if you do not repent, you will all perish as they did!”

He pointed out that ::

  1. the tree was exhausting the soil, the air, the expectations of figs.
  2. Living like any other fruitful tree, looking like any other tree, using up wanter…..
  3. but giving no fruit… happy tree but giving no fruit.
  4. People look for visual evidence for the unknown. The accident in Siloam, due to guilty, sinful people.
  5. Jesus clarifies: no fruit…. will perish.
  6. Repent and show your faith.
