A decades-long severe addiction to pills had left Elvis with horrific constipation. As a result of forcing his bowel movement out, he strained his heart and suffered a fatal heart attack. He fell off the pot, pants on his ankles, but did not die immediately…

While on the floor, Elvis vomited. He crawled several feet away from the toilet, then died face down in the rug in his own vomit and excrement. His autopsy discovered that he had been constipated for weeks and that his colon was as long as nine feet, whereas a normal colon is between five and six feet in length. He died bloated, swollen and in horrible pain, his heart and intestines wrecked by a life of addiction and drug abuse…

Glamorous, the ending of Elvis Presley was not. Was he aware that he was going to die, when his heart gave out on the toilet? Did he scramble to at least put his pants back on, did he try and fail to call for help? We’ll never know, what went through his mind in those final moments. But it must have been terrible.
