Why is Steven Segal blacklisted in Hollywood?
Before filming The Way of the Dragon, Chuck Norris had successfully defended his Karate World Champion title at the International Karate Championship in 1969, as the all-American Karate champion.
And now he faced the greatest movie screen martial artist the world had ever seen (and ever would see), and he lost big time in the iconic Colosseum scene featured above.
But the respect toward Bruce Lee, as a friend and as a fierce competitor, never faded — even decades after Lee had died. It didn’t matter that Norris was the true verifiable champion among them. This was all about respect.
Unfortunately, the question isn’t about Chuck Norris nor Bruce Lee, though, but about the pathologically lying ton of feces called Steven Segal — or as he likes to call himself: Steven Segal. (He thinks there is a difference.)
Some of his many, many lies:
SSclaims that he was a student of the founder of Aikido, Morihei Ueshiba, despite the fact that Ueshiba died in 1969 whenSSwas 17 years old (five years beforeSSmoved to Japan).SSclaims that he was a personal friend of Bruce Lee, although they actually never met (as was confirmed by Lee’s family).SSclaims that he has a 7th-dan black belt in Aikido, which is widely disputed in the martial arts world (as it was awarded in the Aikido school of his father-in-law, and due to his poor Aikido skills).- That very Aikido school in Japan was the school
SSclaims he had founded himself (which he didn’t, as his FIL did). SSclaims he worked for the CIA and fought against the MOB.SSalso claims he is Italian (which he isn’t).
He is currently apparently married to a Russian transvestite named Putain, and furthermore claims to have killed a wooden chair through sheer meditation, recently —
The latter claim appears to be true, though.
